Initial Glimpse: Imperial Agent, Sith Inquisitor, Sith Warrior

In this post we’re going to take a quick look at three more of the game’s classes. The Imperial Agent, the Sith Inquisitor, and the Sith Warrior.

Imperial Agent

Starting Skills

  • Outside Cover
    • Rifle Shot – basic attack that fires two standard rounds and builds energy points
    • Take Cover – like the smuggler’s ability, acquires nearby cover after selecting from a handful of possible positions outlined by green silhouettes
    • Shiv – devastating close-range melee attack that costs a good chunk of energy points but lets you bury a steely vibro-blade into your enemies to deal huge damage
  • In Cover
    • Snipe Attack – deals tons of damage
    • Laze Target – marks a target and makes it much more vulnerable to damage–not unlike the Hunter’s mark skill from World of Warcraft

Handicap

The Imperial Agent accrues and expends energy points like the Smuggler.

Tactics

This class is played a lot like the Smuggler. You need to use cover because you have very little defense. This is more of an assassin class whereas the Smuggler is more like a scout class.

Sith Inquisitor

Starting Skills

  • Saber Strike – deals lightsaber melee damage
  • Shock – force power that zaps a single target with a lightning bolt
  • Lightning Drain – highly damaging Force power that bathes a single target with damaging lightning, a la Emperor Palpatine from Return of the Jedi. It also drains Force power and potentially stuns and slows the movement of its target.

Handicap

This class uses a force power meter that recharges and expends energy used for actions.

Tactics

This class is very offensive with a focus on force powers.

Sith Warrior

Starting Skills

  • Assault – standard lightsaber attack that earns a few rage points
  • Vicious Slash – slower melee attack that deals significant damage to a single target
  • Force Charge – essentially the Knights of the Old Republic’s Force jump power. This ability lets your character perform a superhuman leap across a long distance to immediately engage a faraway opponent with a powerful lightsaber attack.

Handicap

This class has a range meter that accrues and expends energy based on different attacks.

Tactics

The Sith Warrior is the melee powerhouse focusing on offense and close melee light saber attacks.
